Wallonie Espace has the pleasure of inviting you to the third edition of the Space Days, to be held in Charleroi (Belgium) on October 11th, 12th and 13th 2010.

This year, the theme focused on: Launchers, from Modelling to Operations.

 

2010 Highlights?

Monday October 11th

Visit to major Belgian Space Industries (Thales Alenia Space ETCA, Sonaca, SABCA,…).

Tuesday October 12th

               International keynote speeches by ESA, ASTRIUM ST, Arianespace, ELV and SNECMA.?

               Round table with key representatives on future Launchers.?

               International scientific presentations on Launchers and Propulsion Modelling by Finite Element Analysis experts of SAMTECH, ESA-ESTEC, ASTRIUM ST, SNECMA, SABCA and OPEN ENGINEERING.?

               Conferences by Wallonie Espace members on launcher technologies.

WALLONIE ESPACE is an association of industries, universities, laboratories concerned by space research and development in Wallonia and in Brussels. The members are actively demonstrating expertise and excellence in space systems, services, applications, spin-offs.
 

Since 1st October 2003, WALLONIE ESPACE is the SPACE CLUSTER OF THE WALLOON REGION.
Its purposes are :
- to promote the valuable know-how of the space sector;
- to favour the exchange of information between the members concerned by the space projects in Belgium;
- to develop joint prospective views beyond the immediate needs of each enterprise and every laboratory;
- to stimulate the interest of the public, especially of the youth, about the space technology (research, applications, spin-offs);
- to create new space products/services, especially through inter-regional networks: ERA-Star, ESI-Net…
In 2008 the turn over was 160 MEuros for 1400 workers in the sector
